The top 5 of all time, in 2015

We are running a bit late in posting around here, with house selling and house buying. Here a couple of days ago, I finally got around to cooking our Christmas ham.....

But today we received word that our final offer to purchase, has in fact been accepted!

So I thought I would take a moment to share the top 5 (of all time) in 2015. And away we go.....

Number 1, Homemade Laundry Soap, a powder. I have used this for years. Here recently I had purchased (I know, sorry) a similar product over the counter, but when my stock of this is done, will return to my homemade powder. Our new home is serviced by a septic system and this soap will be perfect for our needs, once again.

Number 2, Pineapple Raisin Sauce for Ham. I love this stuff, and it has a great memory attached to it, which just makes it taste that much better.

Number 3, Joe's Special. Everyone needs a quick, delicious dinner. And this one is just that, and apparently I am not the only one that thinks so.

Number 4, One Pan Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes. Another recipe that I hold dear. This is how my mother cooked. Now that I have one of the new 9X13 slow cookers, I can't wait to make this dish again.

and last but not least,

Number 5, Our Favorite Corn Bread. I could eat this everyday. It is slightly sweet and is wonderful grilled with a bit of butter the next day (try a little real maple syrup over the top too!).

I wonder what the top 5 will be in 2016, looking back is always interesting.
