My personal favorites of 2017, end of the year round-up!

Welcome to Our Sunday Café, we are pleased you stopped by for a visit. Today we are offering another delicious recipe from our kitchen. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did…

I thought about tossing a coin, for most popular or my favorites. But in the end, I decided that while I could look for a coin in my purse, I could also simply take a moment to indulge myself and share my favorites from the last year, so here ye go!

As you know, we have had a few changes in the last year. The end of my scheduled Sunday dinners, some health concerns to concentrate one, and the biggest game changer of all, retirement. This is reflected in our shared recipes, they have become more nutritious and made with whole foods. But the one thing that has not changed, is quality.

Good ingredients, coupled with skill and the desire to make the best of what you have to work with, always provided a delicious meal. I hope you like this round-up, as much as we have enjoyed creating and then eating the dishes we are sharing today.

From January 10, 2017. Roasted Lemon and Basil Salad Dressing.
Sometimes your favorites are like a sneaker wave, you get caught by surprise at the wonderful flavor!

From February 20, 2017. Quick and Easy Marinara Sauce.
Simple and so easy with canned organic tomatoes!

From March 15, 2017. Cilantro Brown Rice and Red Potatoes.
I was concerned that folks would think that rice and potatoes were too carb heavy. But that played out to be of no concern. Apparently, lots and lots of folks love the combination of rice and potatoes!

From April 13, 2017. Catsup and Mustard Baked Beans.
A simple and delicious (meatless, but you certainly add some!) baked bean side-dish. Often requested by my sweet hubby.

From April 27, 2017. Blistered Green Bean Salad with Smoked Paprika Vinaigrette Feta and Chopped Almonds.
A salad this delicious requires a name this long!

From May 19, 2017. Whole Grain Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Browned butter and chocolate chips alone would call me to try these cookies, and you should, they are spectacular!

From June 8, 2017. Sweet Lime and Curry Baked Chicken Thighs.
Wonderful, seriously the taste is wonderful. I hope you give them a try!

From June 20, 2017. "Dusty" Potatoes.
Proof that simple ingredients do create memory making meals!

From August 18, 2017. Maple Pecan Granola.
Granola rules at our house, this one is delicious!

From November 2, 2017. Sweet Potato Cornbread.
We love cornbread in this house. It goes with everything and is wonderful grilled the next day with breakfast. This one is so good...

And finally...

From December 21, 2017. Easy Penuche Fudge.
I have made it a point in my lifetime to avoid candy making. This one, however, is exactly like the name replies, EASY. Plus it is delicious!

If you have not tried some of these, I hope you do. Each and everyone is one of the best from 2017.

Enjoy!
