Festive Beverages for the Holidays, including my favorite Eggnog!

Welcome to Our Sunday Café, we are pleased you stopped by for a visit. Today we are offering another delicious recipe from our kitchen. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did…

No one wants to be caught off guard without something to offer the planned for and the spirited guest that might not have been planned for, but their visit simply makes our day! With that said, serving a new drink is risky, but finding one recommended, well now, that is another idea entirely.

We would like to offer this small group of beverages, some are adult-only and others are for everyone to enjoy. But in one way they are all the same, they are all delicious!

Naturally, Fermented Ginger Ale, while this one takes a bit of time, it is something you might wish to make and keep on hand from time to time. The holidays are not the only time, one tends to have drop-in guests. This one is also probiotic, making it a great choice to offer.

The Negroni. This one is definitely in the adults-only category. It contains Campari, unusual and delicious.

A family favorite, the Root Beer Punchbowl. I have yet to get a decent photo of this unusually fun drink. This one is perfect for those with a sweet tooth and bonus points, it can also serve as dessert! This one also has the distinction of having a nickname, Ugly Mutt Punch!

I would like to suggest that not everything has to be made for Christmas, there is an entire winter season to enjoy, from the Christmas holiday until spring begins. This one takes a bit of aging but it will be a wonderful treat to see winter through. Cranberry Liqueur is not only delicious it is beautiful.

And now for my favorite eggnog. You could make this anytime, but we always do for Christmas morning to enjoy with hot buttered toast for breakfast. Honestly, I make a double batch because it is also wonderful over ice with a shot of bourbon or rum...
