Welcome to Our Sunday Cafe! We have a new look!

You may have noticed a bit of a change around here! I am pleased to present our new look after rebuilding the blog due to broken code in the older and previous template. And now back to cooking and sharing the delicious recipes you are looking for...

If you are looking for a beautiful, delicious condiment to add to you're pantry, I could not think of a better recipe to update and present once again than this often made favorite Quick Pickled Onions. You know there is nothing prettier than this jar of rose-colored goodness looking back at you from a lighted refrigerator when you open the door!

Recipes like this one for Quick Pickled Onions is how I turn our creative meals, that don't take all day, because nobody has time for that! Condiments are the answer, my friends, homemade condiments to be exact. They add flavor to a quick saute, over salads and can even be made into a delicious glaze with a bit of tomato and a secret ingredient!

I have said before and I will say it again, every meal can and should be enjoyable, delicious and healthy, but not every meal needs to take hours to make. And when you have homemade condiments ready to go, everyday meals come together quickly!

You may have noticed that we really enjoy these little onion bits, using them as well as recommending them in many of our recipes. The reason? Because they really are that good! They are also very easy to make, which is also a bonus.

  1. Great idea to pickle your onions already diced. It's kind of a duh, but I hadn't thought of it either!
