Hello from Montana

Welcome to Our Sunday Café, we are pleased you stopped by for a visit. Today we are offering another delicious recipe update from our kitchen. We hope you enjoy it as much as we will did

We arrived, all lock, stock and barrel after barrel. Two households is a lot to move. We had two 26-ft moving trucks, One towing a vehicle carrier containing a filled Chevy Tahoe. The other pulling a car dolly with a little Toyota Yaris. I was bringing up the rear in our big blue one-ton pulling a 12-ft trailer. Now keep in mind I had not driven the truck much to begin with and I had never pulled anything with it!!! But I nailed it! We did an eleven hour day and I must say, me and my trailer were in sync as if we had been a team for years!

Look out because you never know once we get another travel trailer, I just might take off on my own...

We have had many setbacks, but are determined to make this the best move of our lives because this is the best home we have ever had the pleasure of being a part of! Even before we signed papers we took care of a flood about to take over the house. The irrigation ditch was in dire need of upkeep and the water coming through will do what water naturally does, it took the path of least resistance. Unfortunately that was our soon to be home and yard. We managed to dig an alternate route and no water entered the garage.

Yep, just in time.  Currently this looks different as we are enclosing the garage for more living space, so it looks more like this...

Currently we are in a bit of a lull in construction due to a bit of a lightening and rain storm that went through this morning, this was pretty exciting however, thunder and lightening are always exciting to us! It is not uncommon to wake up and have visitors in the yard, these sweethearts roam our neighborhood throughout the day.

Our neighbors brought us a welcoming gift of homemade apple pie, and when we opened the garden shed we discovered that there were tons of garden tools. But of course we brought our own...

And the last item to share (besides that fact we still have about 1000 boxes to unpack!) is that we are on the list for internet, however that will not be until the 15th. So once again, Thank you for continuing to visit OurSundayCafe, I really appreciate it! I am looking forward to getting everything unpacked and lots of cooking to share with all of you!

  1. That looks like a gorgeous place to live! I am very impressed by your driving that big truck and pulling a trailer--I remember when you drove a VW Beetle. I especially love that photo of all your garden tools lined up. I am looking forward to hearing more about this adventure. Love, Rocquie
